IZOT Izmir Autism Orchestra and Choir were invited to Makellos Sans Tache Festival between 28 – 30th of September 2017 in Törökbalint / Budapest, Hungary with the financial contributions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism GENC-DES Project of Turkey. We had 3 concerts at the festival. The first concert was at the opening ceremony in Törökbalint. The second concert was at Balint Marton School in Törökbalint. The third concert was IZOT’s 100th concert. It was at St. Stephen Square in Budapest, Hungary. We would like to say thanks to Ministery of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, Mr. Sakir Fakili who was the Turkish Ambassador of Hungary. Foundation Paix 21 and Nem Adom Fel Foundation.
IZOT Izmir Autism Orchestra and Choir hosted Turkish Pop Star Mansur Ark and DJ Hakan Kufundur at 90s Night Concert on the 17th of June 2017 in Izmir, Turkey. We would like to say thank you to Mr. Feruz Bozaslan and Karsiyaka Municipality for this wonderful organization.
IZOT Izmir Autism Orchestra and Choir had a first abroad concert on the 30th of April 2017 in Baku, Azerbaijan. And also we had a 2nd concert at Ozsut Restaurant in Baku. We would like to say thanks to Ms. Ayten Eynalova and Birge and Saglam Autism Foundation and also Pasha Bank for sponsor support.
IZOT Izmir Autism Orchestra and Choir had a concert at ANCA World Autism Festival Gala Concert on 21th of April 2017 in Alanya, Turkey.
IZOT Izmir Autism Orchestra and Choir had a concert at the Ministry of Family and Social Policies, Autism Action Plan Presentation Meeting on 3th of December 2016 in Istanbul, Turkey. Former Prime Minister of Turkey, Mr. Binali Yildirim spoke about Autism. After the concert, IZOT’s founder and conductor Ph.D. Orcun Berrakcay spoke about IZOT and he said that “he wanted to be a Turkish Government Autism Choir” He asked support from Prime Minister.
IZOT Izmir Autism Orchestra and Choir had a concert at Aid Night Concert for Children with Autism on 20th of February 2016 at Swissotel Izmir. Turkish actor Mr. Behzat Uygur sang Turkish songs with IZOT.
IZOT Izmir Autism Orchestra and Choir performed Turkish Folk Song “Cemberimde Gul Oya” with Selda Bagcan and Israeli Rock Band Boom Pam concert at Izmir Fair Open Air Theater on 16th of October 2016, in Izmir, Turkey. We sang the same song twice with the applause of the audience. Afterward, our students Erkan and Ahmet presented their paintings to Selda Bagcan. Ph.D. Orcun Berrakcay presented the plaque prepared by ODER Autism Association to Selda Bagcan. We thank Selda Bagcan for hosting us at her concert.
IZOT Izmir Autism Orchestra and Choir had a concert on the 12th of October 2016 at Suat Taşer Open Air Theater in Karşıkaya, Izmir. Turkish actor Yigit Ozsener was an announcer and Ph.D. Orcun Berrakcay was a conductor. Before the concert, Mr. Ergin Güngör, who is the President of the ODER Autism Association, had a speech. The 66th concert of IZOT, Yesilcam Songs were performed with the slogan “Forgotten were not forgotten. IZOT Rhythm Group led by Sefika Yurga also a rhythm performance. We would like to thank the Mayor of Karsiyaka Huseyin Mutlu Akpınar for his contribution to the realization of the concert, Yigit Ozsener, who acted as the host of the night, Feruz Bozaslan from Karsiyaka Municipality.
IZOT Izmir Autism Orchestra and Choir had a concert at the International Young Talents Music Competition Award Ceremony on the 5th of June 2016 at Akatlar Cultural Center in Istanbul. IZOT, who participated in the special category with the highest number of contestants, was awarded with the achievement award. Ph.D. Orcun Berrakcay teacher achievement award, the most-watched and most admired IZOT student Doga Tirpan was given two awards.
IZOT Izmir Autism Orchestra and Choir had a concert at Manavgat Ataturk Culture Center on May 21 2016 with the support of the Manavgat Municipality. Sukru Sozen, who is the Mayor of Manavgat attended the concert. It was the 63th concert of IZOT.
